Our Approach & Philosophy
Birth is one of life's greatest opportunities for growth. It is through the unknown, the new, and the challenging that we realize potential, and make leaps both personally, and in our relationships. That potential is realized through connection with yourself, your baby, and partner throughout pregnancy, and during labor in the transcendent flow-state that birth is. Most, unfortunately, enter birth with fear and misconceptions, missing the skills and knowledge to take advantage of this peak experience.
UNITY is dedicated to providing quality education, personal growth opportunity, and relationship coaching in this major transition of life. Our approach combines deeply informative teachings on the physiology of birth, the role of mind-body connection, as well as intentional partner interactions, which prepare you for birth and beyond.
Here, we explore how to better prepare ourselves as individuals, entering the unknown physical and emotional endeavor of birth and parenthood, by encouraging an inquisitive, and in-touch experience. Learn tools and practices that substantially contribute to a smooth labor and positive birth. Come to appreciate and utilize the partner's powerful role in helping the mother achieve an emotional and mental state conducive to birthing confidently, efficiently, and intuitively. We are passionate about childbirth education that empowers mothers and couples, builds confidence in birth, and fosters connection between partners during this pivotal time.
THE BIRTH EXPERIENCE: PROACTIVE, COACTIVE, & GROWTH-ACTIVE
The journey of birth is a transformative rite of passage from which we have largely become distanced. Pregnancy and birth can be the ultimate opportunity to reflect, grow, and feel empowered, but that is missed if we do not prioritize informing ourselves or making space to connect internally and to our partners. Birth has the power to lay a crucial foundation for the next era of our life with children. Ownership and intentionality is key to beginning that next chapter with a solid sense of strength, love, and confidence.

1:1 Couples Coaching, Childbirth Ed & Parent Prep
6 sessions (1.5 hours/session)
Receive private childbirth education and individualized couples-centered coaching during this pivotal time in your relationship.
Utilize pregnancy to enter the transition to parenthood intentionally, with greater attunement to yourself, and strengthened understanding and communication with your partner.
Inform yourself deeply, overcome fears and misconceptions, and foster a stronger foundation with your partner, through impactful learning, discussion and guided experiences.
Childbirth- Education Course
6 classes (2 hours/class)
In this unique childbirth education course, we inform on a high level, such that women and their partners obtain a deep understanding of the physiology of birth.
We focus on the essential role of mind-body connection and mental-emotional preparedness, in order to build confidence and authority of your body and natural birthing instincts.
We aim to return birth to the couple, and the mother. Learn, relate, and grow with your partner through this holistic, connective childbirth
Empowered Puberty Course
5 weeks, 2 hr class/week
Discover in-depth knowledge of your uniquely female body, and why its cycle is amazing (not embarrassing). Come to understand your endocrine system at a foundational level that all women should, in order to make decisions and help maintain a balanced, healthy system.
We focus on helping girls and teens find new confidence to embrace their evolving body and self, while in a safe, open environment. Co-taught with Shawna DeWitt, an internationally recognized Certified Professional Midwife
Postpartum Doula Services
5 weeks, 2 sessions/week
Nurture your baby, your relationship, and yourself by having the physical and emotional support you need in the postpartum weeks, with a certified Postpartum Doula. Be witnessed in sharing and processing your birth, helped with breastfeeding needs and infant care, as well as facilitated through partner conversations during this important initial transition to parenthood. Sessions are tailored to your personal needs and priorities.
